Kool Kidz Sponsorship Programme
- Kool Kidz Pre-School had been struggling to attract a sufficient number of children into the school to make us financially viable and we were considering the possibility of being forced to close the school at the end of 2020.
However, things changed in 2021 and we have been able to attract a number of overseas individuals and a foundation in our “Sponsor a Child” programme.
Our Sponsorship rates are :-
Pre-Primary Grades – US$650 per annum
Primary Grades 1 – 4 – US$ 700 per annum
Primary Grades 5 – 7 – US$750 per annum.
The cost of sponsoring one child for a year covers tuition fees, a nutritious lunch, stationery, toiletries and a school uniform.
We have a number of worthy children on our waiting list so please think about whether you can make a difference to these kids’ lives.

In the middle of 2021 we entered into a partnership with The Educated Zebra Foundation who are based in North Carolina, USA. This is a wonderful, pro-active organisation dedicated to the promotion of education amongst the disadvantaged children of our community. The foundation is run by Marlynne, Diana & Ana , with lots of help from people like Dr Elizabeth (Lisa) with her invaluable psychology background.
In 2021 they sponsored reading lessons for a number of children from the nearby Maramba township and this sponsorship expanded in 2022 to the point where 15 children from Middle Class up to Grade 7 are now being fully supported with their school fees, meals, uniforms, stationery etc.
We would like each sponsor of a child to take an active interest in the child who they sponsor and we will commit to providing full details of every sponsored child and regularly update you, our sponsors, on the progress of “their child”.
We will be targeting the children of financially disadvantaged parent/guardians who live locally in Highlands, Livingstone and who may be employed as caretakers, gardeners or domestic workers.
We expect and require that the parents/guardians of the sponsored children to contribute K150 termly towards the school building fund.
Unfortunately, some of our sponsors were not able to continue their sponsorship, either in full or in part into 2022. We will not remove any child whose sponsorship has fallen through and Kool Kidz has had to step in and assist with two of these children.
We are always looking for new sponsors and would welcome any assistance for these kids.
Please, if you are considering sponsorship, then be aware that it is for the LONG TERM. A child who starts in Baby Class and stays with us until Grade 7 will be here for 10 years.
